Volunteer of the Month – June 2017

Jarrett Reed is a partner with Norton Rose Fulbright US LLP. The majority of his volunteer involvement is at the South and East Dallas Clinics.

He was fortunate to be named an Outstanding Clinic Attorney Volunteer in 2014, and he thinks that helping people understand the process and potential avenues towards a solution for their issues at the front end during the clinics is extremely rewarding. He has also handled many pro bono matters within his real estate practice area assisting people with transfers of title of their personal residences. He has assisted in several expunctions and non-disclosures, as he appreciates that the individuals helped by DVAP have significant need to clean up records of past criminal charges to get back on a productive path. He cannot think of a more rewarding feeling than when the pro bono clients call back to tell him that they were able to get the job they wanted because their past indiscretions were no longer a bar to their employment. “I appreciate all that the amazing people at DVAP work on day in and day out, and I’m happy to be a small part of the external team that helps carry forward DVAP’s mission,” Jarrett said.
