-
- How did you first get involved in pro bono?
I was previously involved with another pro bono organization in Colorado. When I relocated to Texas, my new Bradley colleagues introduced me to DVAP. Since then, I’ve been actively volunteering with DVAP and have really enjoyed the opportunity to contribute to the community.
-
- Which clinics have you assisted with?
My Bradley colleagues and I staff intake for the DVAP Virtual Veterans Clinic the first Friday of every month.
-
- Why do you do pro bono?
I do pro bono work because I’m passionate about ensuring everyone has access to legal representation and support, regardless of their financial situation, and it is incredibly fulfilling to be able to contribute in this way. I am grateful that the leaders in the Bradley Dallas office encourage us to use our time and legal talents to help make a difference in our community.
-
- What impact has pro bono service had on your career?
Pro bono service has had a profound impact on my career by deepening my sense of purpose and broadening my perspective as an attorney.
-
- What is the most unexpected benefit you have received from doing pro bono?
One of the unexpected benefits of doing pro bono work has been the opportunity to engage with and learn from the veterans through the Virtual Veterans Clinic. The individuals I assist are always so warm and welcoming, and speaking with them has been incredibly rewarding, offering me a deeper appreciation for their experiences and sacrifices.
